Hello and welcome. Now watch this drive.
I’m Brian, a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate and Certified Addiction Technician in Colorado. I focus on working with adult men who contend with anxiety, depression, life transitions, career dissatisfaction, anger, and substance use concerns.
When people talk about “holding space”, I don’t know what that means. If someone just wants to talk, they can do that with a friend, family member, or coworker for free. What I focus on is helping people make meaningful change in their lives, because that is what they are investing in. I work hard for my clients because therapy is not cheap, and it should produce results.
Let’s take all this space we’re holding and do something with it.
While I utilize evidence-based therapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and mindfulness practices, I also recognize that no two people follow the same path in therapy and am committed to providing a “whole person” approach. This means your treatment will be individualized, not manualized.
I came into this field after spending six years writing ads for award-winning advertising agencies, and my work today is informed by my past experience working in a fast-paced, high-pressure, highly-competitive environment. For a time, I suffered from crippling anxiety and panic, and working with a hands-on therapist helped me recover - I have been free from panic attacks since, and symptoms of anxiety no longer direct my life.
I spent the first several years of my career in mental health working in residential addiction treatment centers, helping men transform their lives from the inside out. Today, my clients are often busy professionals who deal with the demands of managing multiple life roles and responsibilities.
Outside of work, you can find me reading, working out, playing golf, or watching Denver sports teams. I like being active and engaging in the creative arts. I am passionate about psychotherapy and I view myself as a lifelong learner.
I’m looking forward to meeting you,
